You know the one I’m talking about; she’s classy, with pearl earrings and makeup most days, shoes to match her purse, even if it is to walk the dog or get the mail or run to Walgreens. These old women just don’t tend to be overweight. Have you ever wondered why?

Well, she doesn’t eat six small meals a day, with half of them coming from her purse in the form of 100 calorie bags. She doesn’t hit up Starbucks for a sugary huge latte. She’s not too concerned about gluten or organic, unless it has something to do with the tomatoes she might grow in her backyard.

Food just isn’t on their minds. They are too busy living real life and doing the things that need to get done; too busy taking care of themselves and caring that they look respectable.

You may call them snooty or sweet, naive, old bitties, or precious. Regardless of our opinion of them, there is one fact that is hard to ignore when we step back and see that the rate of obesity doesn’t seem to flourish with their generation. They are getting something right.
